We have changed some items on the evening menu this week, sizzling prawns with garlic & chilli have replaced the moules for the moment, and cod cheeks given way to fishcakes. We're going with the fishcakes I have always made, I think it was probably a delia dish to start with.... leeks, mushrooms, smoked haddock and cod. Comforting and really delicious.
Our other quest is to always have (? grammar?) a splendid vegetarian dish. This week will be a potato gnocchi with a parmesan and cavolo nero sauce, very dark green. I love it.
